Beijing: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says that Tehran appreciates a four-point proposal put forward by China to uphold and promote regional peace and stability, following 'constructive talks' in Beijing with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a post on X after his one-day visit to the Chinese capital, Araghchi said the Iranian side trusts China and expects it to continue playing a positive role in promoting peace and stopping a US-Israeli-imposed war against Iran.

Araghchi expressed Iran's appreciation for the proposal, highlighting its focus on upholding and promoting regional peace and stability. He noted that both sides reaffirmed Iran's right to safeguard its national sovereignty and national dignity. Additionally, Araghchi emphasized that Tehran supports the establishment of a new post-war regional architecture, aimed at coordinating development and security.
