Tehran: Former Iranian foreign minister, Javad Zarif, criticized the Donald Trump administration's silence regarding Israel's nuclear weapons arsenal, describing it as 'the gravest threat to peace in the Middle East and the world.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zarif referred to a recent Washington Post report titled 'Some Democrats press Trump to break silence on Israel's nuclear arsenal.' In a post on his X account, Zarif asserted that Israel's nuclear capabilities have consistently posed the most significant danger to regional and global peace.

Javad Zarif expressed that it has taken an extended period for US politicians to recognize the perceived hypocrisy of their government. He stressed that Israel's nuclear weapons have perpetually been the gravest threat, allowing what he termed a genocidal regime to conduct attacks both near and far, with the implication of US involvement.
