Tehran: Spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia says that any hostile action against the country would be met with a firm and decisive response from the country's Armed Forces.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Akraminia made this statement while speaking on the sidelines of funeral prayers for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and members of his family at Tehran's Mosalla on Sunday. He emphasized that Iran would continue strengthening its military capabilities during the current ceasefire.
The Iranian military forces have reiterated that they are using this period of ceasefire to enhance their combat readiness, Akraminia stated. They remain fully vigilant and are not wasting any time, he noted, warning that any enemy miscalculations would lead to a crushing and decisive response from Iran's Armed Forces.
Akraminia also acknowledged the significant public turnout at the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader, describing it as a symbol of national unity and commitment. He expressed hope that the gathering and the martyrdom of those honored at the ceremony would heighten international awareness and motivate nations to stand against oppression and global arrogance.
The Army spokesperson further added that the ceremony had created a lasting legacy that would serve to inspire Muslim nations and bolster solidarity against injustice.
