Tehran:United Nations: A representative from Iran's Permanent Mission has strongly disputed the United Arab Emirates' claims concerning three islands in the Persian Gulf, asserting Iran's unwavering sovereignty over them.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Nasser Asadi, responding to statements made by an Emirati diplomat during the UN General Assembly meeting, reaffirmed Iran's absolute control over the islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb.
