The third round focuses on Iran's proposals regarding its nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions against the country.According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei informed that the US team had met with the Omani foreign minister earlier on Thursday, before the start of negotiations with the Iranian delegation. Baqaei also noted that Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is in Geneva to attend the discussions and assist with technical aspects of the nuclear issue. The spokesperson emphasized that Iran is serious about the negotiations and fully prepared to continue them. 'We have come here with full seriousness. Our delegation is complete and ready to continue the talks. Our frameworks are clear. From the beginning, the Iranian delegation's negotiating guidelines have been very clear,' Baqaei said, highlighting Iran's efforts to safeguard its right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and achieve the removal of sanctions.Iran and the US are engaged in nuclear negotiations as Washington has ramped up its military presence in the region near Iran's borders and has threatened military action should the talks fail to produce a deal.
