Tehran: Iran has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as the Israeli regime’s intensified atrocities against Palestinians. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei highlighted the recent escalation of Israeli actions, which have resulted in the deaths of over 100 Palestinians within the past 24 hours. Among those killed were Mohammad Faraj al-Ghoul, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), and Alaa Azzam, a renowned Palestinian Quran reciter, along with his family.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the spokesperson criticized the ongoing siege on Gaza, which has led to severe shortages of food and medicine, describing these actions as cruel war crimes. Baqaei condemned the establishment of humanitarian aid centers by the U.S. and Israeli regime, accusing them of turning these centers into traps that result in the massacre of innocent and starving children.
Baqaei called on governments and international organizations worldwide to take swift action to halt these crimes.
He argued that the passive stance and indifference exhibited by supporters of the Israeli regime have normalized severe violations of international law, undermining shared legal and ethical principles.
Furthermore, Baqaei asserted that supporters of the Israeli regime, particularly the U.S., Germany, and Britain, bear direct responsibility for what he termed as genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. He warned that the continued impunity of the Israeli regime regarding its actions in the occupied territories is a driving force behind the persistence of its crimes and warfare.
