Tehran: The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has confirmed a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States. A memorandum of understanding (MoU), mediated by Pakistan, has been finalized to end the hostilities. As per the terms of the MoU, the cessation of war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, is set to occur immediately and permanently starting Sunday night. Additionally, the naval blockade imposed on Iran will be lifted immediately. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the finalized text of the MoU comes after several months of challenging and intensive negotiations, as directed by the Supreme National Security Council's resolution. The Islamic Republic of Iran, guided by its leadership and with the support of its people and fighters, has reached this critical agreement through the Islamabad negotiations with the United States. The MoU is set to be formally signed on Friday, June 19. Further discussions on a final agreement will take place after the other party fulfills its commitments under the MoU. The Islamic Republic of Iran has expressed gratitude to both the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the State of Qatar for their roles in facilitating this pivotal agreement.
