Tehran: The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan has congratulated the nation of Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of the country's independence, saying a new turning point has begun in Tehran-Islamabad relations. Reza Amiri-Moghaddam on Friday congratulated the government and people of Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of the country's independence, which is celebrated annually on August 14.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, on this day, the official said, Iran pays tribute to the values of the Pakistani nation, as it marks a proud moment honoring the extraordinary resilience, unity, and achievements of the people of Pakistan.
Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan's independence 79 years ago, while Pakistan was also the first country to recognize the Islamic Revolution and the establishment of the Islamic Republic in Iran in 1979.
