Isfahan: Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami stated that Iran’s battle during the recent 12-day conflict was not solely against Israel, but also against advanced technology provided to the Tel Aviv regime by Western and NATO countries.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Major General Hatami made these comments during his visit to army units in Isfahan, Tabriz, and Hamedan. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate and review the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. Hatami emphasized that Israel received substantial support from its allies, who provided technological assistance whenever Israel faced deficiencies.
Hatami noted that despite the short duration of the war, Iranian forces gained valuable insights. He highlighted the experiences of Iranian pilots who engaged in confrontations with the enemy, stressing the importance of documenting these events for future reference.
He further explained that the adversary aimed to destabilize the Islamic Republic by creating discord but ultimately faced an unexpected defeat, as the Iranian populace remained steadfast in their support of the Islamic establishment. Hatami remarked that while the nuclear issue was used as a pretext by the enemy, their broader strategy against Iran was unsuccessful. He pointed out that attempts to dismantle Iran’s missile capabilities failed, and instead, Iran managed to overpower the enemy through its missile strength.
Concluding his remarks, Hatami underscored the need for Iran to enhance its military preparedness. He cautioned that the enemy, as demonstrated during the conflict, would stop at nothing, but emphasized the military’s resolve to transform threats into opportunities.
