Tehran: A senior Iranian lawmaker has issued a stern warning, indicating that Iran’s response to any future Israeli strikes will be more forceful and determined than previous actions. Ebrahim Azizi, head of the parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, emphasized the commitment of Iran and its armed forces to stand firm in the face of any aggression from Israel or its allies.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Azizi highlighted that Israel was not acting alone in its 12-day conflict with Iran in June. He pointed out that the United States, along with several other countries, provided full support to Israel, making the confrontation a broader military campaign rather than a simple bilateral conflict. “This time our response will be firmer and more decisive,” Azizi reiterated, underscoring Iran’s readiness to counter any further assaults.
Azizi also noted that Iran’s military strikes during the conflict compelled Washington to seek a ceasefire. He revealed that a message was sent through US envoy Steve Witkoff to Iran’s foreign minister, underscoring the acknowledgment of Iran’s capabilities. “They realized Iran’s power,” Azizi remarked, reflecting on the international dynamics at play during the confrontation.
