Iran Criticizes UAE for Arrests on Unsubstantiated Charges

Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the United Arab Emirates' recent detentions, accusing the UAE of making arrests on vague and groundless excuses.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei criticized the UAE for raising unfounded claims and engaging in narratives against Iran. He stated that these actions cannot divert attention from what he described as the UAE's direct responsibility in supporting the US and Israeli military actions against Iran.

Baqaei emphasized that such accusations would not aid in building trust among regional countries. He urged the UAE government to respect human rights and human dignity. Further, he called on the UAE to avoid retaliatory behavior and to return to the principle of good neighborliness.
