Iran Denounces US Aviation Sanctions as ‘Bullying’ and Pursues Legal Action

Tehran:The Iranian government has labeled US sanctions on its aviation companies as an "act of bullying" and announced that it has lodged a complaint with international organizations, including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as part of its legal efforts.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated at a press conference on September 29 that Iran is seeking to resolve these issues through diplomatic means. She emphasized that negotiations are underway and highlighted the importance of resolving regional problems within the region itself.

Mohajerani expressed gratitude to the Iraqi nation for their support in efforts to lift sanctions on Iranian flights. She also mentioned that legal proceedings concerning alleged US and Israeli crimes against Iran began after the 12-day war, gaining momentum following incidents last winter and the 40-day war. Despite the lengthy nature of legal proceedings, Iran remains committed to pursuing the case.

In her remarks, Mohajerani also referenced Iran's history during the Sacred Defense Week, asserting that while Iran has never initiated conflict, it remains resolute in its self-defense.
