Zurich: The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Hamid Bovard, has revealed that the lifting of oil sanctions and related exemptions was a prominent topic during the quadrilateral talks held in Switzerland. The discussions also marked the lifting of a naval blockade, allowing Iran's oil exports to resume through the Persian Gulf.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Bovard, who was part of Iran's delegation at the negotiations, stated in an interview that Iranian vessels have started crossing the previously restricted boundaries and are now en route to their designated destinations. He highlighted that nearly half of Iran's monthly oil exports have been shipped abroad in recent days, with expectations to continue exports at full capacity following the full implementation of the memorandum.

Bovard further commented on the serious pursuit of investment issues and the lifting of oil sanctions during the negotiations. Amendments were proposed to the American side, which Iran hopes to implement soon.

The Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, arrived at Zurich Airport on Saturday night. The team included prominent figures such as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Ali Bagheri, the Deputy for International Affairs at the Supreme National Security Council Secretariat, and Abdolnaser Hemmati, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, among others.

Representing the American side in the talks were US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, advisor to US President Donald Trump, and US Vice President JD Vance, who were present in Switzerland to engage in the discussions.
