Tehran: The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has dispatched a significant shipment of humanitarian aid weighing 220 tons to Lebanon and Syria. This marks the tenth shipment of aid sent to these countries amidst ongoing Israeli aggression. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Babak Mahmoudi, the head of IRCS, announced on Monday that the shipment comprises essential items and necessary medical supplies. Mahmoudi highlighted that the aid was collected through both cash and non-cash donations from the Iranian populace, demonstrating a nationwide effort to support the affected regions. Monetary contributions were specifically utilized to procure medicines, which were then transported to Lebanon and Syria via a convoy consisting of ten trucks. Mahmoudi urged the public to persist in their support and continue their contributions through the Red Crescent, emphasizing the importance of aiding the populations impacted in Lebanon and Syria.
