Kuwait City:Iran's embassy in Kuwait has strongly refuted claims that an Iranian national was linked to a plot targeting public figures or compromising Kuwait's national security. The embassy stated that the individual in question has not set foot in Kuwait for the last decade.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the embassy issued a statement on Wednesday expressing its regret over ongoing negative perceptions towards Iran, citing repeated accusations of Iranian meddling in Kuwait's domestic matters.

The embassy criticized these allegations as baseless and contrary to the principles of good neighborliness and international law. It further emphasized the need for regional countries to adopt responsible and prudent policies to avoid escalating tensions, especially in light of the serious implications of US and Israeli military actions against Iran.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's State Security and Terrorism Crimes Court has handed down death sentences to three defendants accused of espionage for Lebanon's Hezbollah and involvement in related plans.
