Tehran:President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized the significance of the recent directive from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to conclude the ongoing 'neither war nor peace' situation. He described this guidance as a pivotal step for the country's future direction while presiding over a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian lauded Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei's instructions, assuring that the government will diligently pursue the implementation of the Leader's order with utmost commitment. The meeting also concentrated on national resilience and strategies to counter enemy threats, with the president stressing continuous readiness for emerging challenges.
Pezeshkian underscored the importance of full preparedness among all ministers, heads, and deputies of the executive branches, advising them to maximize existing capacities to enhance productivity and strengthen national power. He also addressed anti-Iran conspiracies, advocating for a robust resilience capacity to withstand threats, sanctions, and external pressures.
In addition, Pezeshkian honored the martyrs of recent US-Israeli-imposed conflicts, highlighting the sustained memory of civilian atrocities in the nations' collective consciousness. He condemned the attacks on civilians, particularly the targeting of children and students in Minab and Lamerd, as contrary to humanitarian principles and international law norms.
The cabinet meeting featured reports from several ministers, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, on diplomatic developments and regional consultations. This included discussions following the visits of a Qatari delegation and the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, alongside consultations with officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey.
