Iran: Iran says that issues surrounding Yemen cannot be resolved through continued blockade and military alignments, calling for an immediate resumption of dialogue based on an agreed roadmap.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a statement on developments in Yemen, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its support for the country's independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and called for an end to the 'illegal and inhumane blockade' of the country.
The foreign ministry stated that regional security and stability in West Asia and the Red Sea could not be achieved without respecting the rights and dignity of the Yemeni people.
The statement highlighted the importance of understanding the current situation in Yemen within the context of developments over more than a decade, emphasizing that the Yemeni people have the right to live with dignity without pressure, intimidation, or blockade.
The ministry also urged greater attention to the interests of the Muslim world amid unprecedented Israeli aggression and expansionism in West Asia, supported by the US.
Iran expressed its readiness to provide its assistance to help resume dialogue and implement the provisions of the agreed roadmap.
