Iran Envoy and Russian Iranologists Engage in In-Depth Discussion on Recent Unrest

Moscow: Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, convened with Russian Iranologists in Moscow to deliberate on the recent unrest in Iran. This extensive session, lasting three and a half hours, was hosted at the Iranian Embassy, where Ambassador Jalali provided a comprehensive overview of the developments in Iran since June 2025, focusing particularly on the past month's unrest.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ambassador Jalali detailed the United States' policy of pressure and sanctions against Iran and Tehran's strategic response. He described the violent incidents as acts of terrorism and foreign interference, attributing support for these acts to the United States and the Israeli regime, metaphorically referring to the situation as the 13th day of a 12-day war.

Furthermore, Ambassador Jalali discussed the indirect Iran-US talks held in Oman, expressing that the nuclear issue could reach a resolution if addressed in an environment of mutual respect and devoid of threats. He reaffirmed Iran's stance against negotiating its missile capabilities, underscoring that Iran's defensive achievements remain non-negotiable.

During the session, Russian Iranologists contributed their insights on Iran's current circumstances. The meeting also included a screening of footage that participants claimed highlighted censored aspects of the recent unrest absent in Western media coverage.
