Tehran:Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that the country is engaged in a full-scale economic war, moving beyond a 'neither war nor peace' situation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a video conference with officials from the northern province of Gilan on Thursday. He emphasized the severity of the economic conflict, noting that adversaries have closed maritime routes and imposed restrictions on land routes, thereby intensifying the economic challenges faced by the nation.

The President also highlighted the government's efforts to withstand external pressures and to address the country's issues substantially. He assured that the administration is committed to maintaining the country's resilience in the face of ongoing economic adversities.
