Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri have held a phone conversation to exchange views on the latest regional developments and the escalating Israeli aggression against Lebanon. On Monday night, both sides highlighted the vital need for enhanced coordination among regional states to counter the expansionist policies and warmongering actions of the Israeli regime targeting Lebanon and other nations across the region.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Foreign Minister Araghchi reaffirmed Iran's unwavering commitment to defending Lebanon's national sovereignty and territorial integrity against Israeli violations, voicing full support for the Lebanese resistance in confronting occupation and attacks.

For his part, Speaker Berri expressed appreciation for Iran's continuous support and delivered an update on the critical situation in southern Lebanon. He underscored the legal and moral responsibility of the international community and Islamic nations to halt Israeli violations and hold perpetrators accountable.
