Muscat: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stressed that countering the United States’ unilateral policies demands responsibility and effective measures from all governments and nations. Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with David Harland, executive director of the Geneva-based Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, and three senior officials of the organization in Muscat, Oman.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the two sides discussed pressing international issues, particularly US unilateralism and Israeli aggression, which continue to threaten international peace and security, and violate international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. Araghchi emphasized that confronting these policies requires collective responsibility and decisive action to safeguard the achievements of human civilization and to protect peace and the rule of law.

Harland, for his part, stressed the importance of strengthening diplomacy as the only effective tool for peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
