Muscat: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq in Muscat to discuss regional developments. During the meeting, Araghchi praised Oman for its role in facilitating diplomatic processes and its stance on the war imposed on Iran by the US and the Israeli regime. He emphasized Iran's commitment to maintaining friendly relations with Oman and other southern Persian Gulf states.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi reiterated that the experience from the imposed 40-day war against Iran shows that the US military presence in regional countries leads to insecurity and division. He urged all regional countries to establish independent collective security mechanisms free from US intervention.

The Sultan of Oman expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and for several high-ranking officials and citizens who lost their lives during the aggression against Iran. He extended greetings to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and President Pezeshkian, emphasizing Oman's commitment to regional peace and stability.

The Sultan expressed hope for a swift end to the war and the restoration of stability and security in the region, declaring Oman's readiness to provide any necessary assistance.
