Tehran: In a statement issued on Monday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran criticized the United States on the eve of the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran. The statement asserted that the United States “has spared no effort to violate the rights of the Iranian people,” highlighting Washington’s actions on Iranian soil and its explicit support for the 12-day Israeli-imposed war against Iran in June as contributors to the Iranian people’s vigilance and resistance.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the statement further described the United States and the Zionist regime as “the main centers of sedition in the world.” It accused them of attempting to achieve through fearmongering and media manipulation what they could not secure on the battlefield.

The General Staff noted the “painful blows and successive defeats” inflicted on Iran’s adversaries, crediting the unity of the Iranian people, the readiness of the Armed Forces, and the divine will of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for thwarting any further threats to Iran’s security. It emphasized that Iran’s Armed Forces are prepared to deliver a decisive and crushing response to any hostile act or threat against the Islamic Republic.
