Ashgabat:Neighbors hold a critical place in Iran's foreign policy, as emphasized by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi following his visit to Turkmenistan. During his visit, Araghchi underscored the importance of strengthening ties with neighboring countries.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi expressed his honor in meeting with President Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and conducting fruitful discussions with Foreign Minister Meredov. He noted that the shared history and cultural connections between the two nations serve as a solid basis for enhancing cooperation. Araghchi affirmed that neighboring countries remain a priority for Iran.

Araghchi's visit to Turkmenistan on Monday was a daylong trip, during which he led a political and economic delegation. The discussions focused on bilateral political and economic relations, as well as regional and international issues.
