Tehran: The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran engaged in a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart on May 10. During this call, Abbas Araghchi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani discussed the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic processes.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement highlighting that Al Thani discussed efforts to achieve peace in the region during the conversation with Iran's foreign minister. Al Thani emphasized the importance of cooperation among all parties to foster conditions conducive to advancing negotiations.

The statement also noted that Al Thani reiterated Qatar's full support for mediation efforts aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful means. The dialogue between the two foreign ministers included discussions on the Strait of Hormuz and shipping lanes.
