Iran: Iran has formally presented to Pakistani mediators its response to the latest US proposal aimed at ending the war of aggression against the country, a source familiar with the matter confirmed on Sunday.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the proposed plan focuses exclusively on the cessation of hostilities in the region. The current phase of negotiations is centered on achieving this goal. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson had previously noted that Tehran's views and considerations regarding the US proposals would be communicated once internal reviews and final conclusions were completed.
Pakistan played a crucial role by brokering a ceasefire between Tehran and Washington on April 8, which halted nearly 40 days of joint aggression by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic. Following this, talks were held in Islamabad, but they did not lead to a breakthrough.
