Iran Refutes Allegations of Supplying Military Gear to Yemen

Tehran: Iran has firmly denied allegations that it is sending military equipment to Yemen, labeling the claims as unfounded. Esmaeil Khatib, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, dismissed the United States’ assertions, arguing that they are part of a coordinated media campaign aimed at discrediting the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Khatib emphasized that these allegations are being used to divert attention from what he described as the real issues in the region. He accused the Israeli regime of escalating violence in Gaza and the West Bank with the support of the United States, which provides both military aid and political backing. Khatib further criticized the U.S. for its role in the ongoing tensions, asserting that its claims regarding Iran’s alleged military shipments to Yemen are a deceptive effort to shift public focus away from the aggression and violations committed by Israel against regional nations.

The Iranian spokesperson highlighted that the accusations against Iran are attempts to obscure the destructive interventions by both Israel and the United States in the Middle East, particularly concerning the sovereignty of Syria and Lebanon. Khatib reiterated Iran’s stance, calling for attention to the broader geopolitical dynamics rather than fabricated claims about military aid to Yemen.
