Tehran:Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly rejected accusations from the European Union's foreign policy chief concerning Iran's alleged interference in the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Esmaeil Baqaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry, emphasized that the EU is culpable for human rights violations in Yemen due to its involvement in economic sanctions and blockades against the country. Baqaei asserted that European officials cannot evade their responsibility by attributing blame to others.
Baqaei also denied allegations regarding the presence of Iranian military experts in Yemen, insisting that the Yemeni people have the capability and determination to defend their national sovereignty. Additionally, he condemned the attacks on various regions of Yemen, including critical infrastructure and residential areas, and called for an end to the violations against Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
