Tabriz:President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Iran will not permit the United States to fulfill what he described as its sinister objectives, which include disrupting Iran's supply routes and inciting public discontent.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian made these remarks during an online address at a meeting of East Azarbaijan Province's Planning and Development Council. He emphasized that despite efforts by external forces to instigate social protests, with the support of local producers, exporters, and entrepreneurs, Iran will resist these attempts. The president affirmed that Iran would meet its needs through all available resources, aided by its citizens.
Pezeshkian also urged officials across various provinces to collaborate in solving local issues without depending solely on the central government in Tehran. He praised the Armed Forces and defenders of the country for their perseverance against enemy attacks, highlighting their achievements as unexpected by their adversaries. He expressed pride in their dedication to defending the nation despite facing numerous hardships and resource shortages.
Later, in a separate event in Tehran commemorating Nurses Day, President Pezeshkian acknowledged the resilience of the Iranian people in preventing adversaries from exploiting the country’s economic, social, and environmental challenges. He noted that since the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, there have been ongoing efforts to disrupt national unity through ethnic and gender tensions. Despite challenges such as electricity shortages and environmental issues, Pezeshkian stated that the public had successfully thwarted these plots, though he warned that adversaries continue to exploit these difficulties to create division.
