Iran Stands Firm on Nuclear Enrichment Rights: Araqchi

Istanbul: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has emphasized that the nation will not relinquish its nuclear rights or enrichment activities. Speaking about the upcoming negotiations scheduled for Friday in Istanbul, Araqchi asserted that the talks are a continuation of prior discussions and that Iran’s stance remains unchanged. “The world must know that our positions have not changed – we will defend the Iranian people’s rights,” he stated.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi highlighted the importance of maintaining Iran’s firm stance, particularly following the recent conflict with Israel. He reiterated that Iran’s uranium enrichment activities will persist, underscoring that this is a right that the Iranian people will not forgo. Araqchi made it clear that the upcoming discussions will follow the same path as previous negotiations, with Iran’s position remaining steadfast.

The talks in Istanbul will involve deputy foreign ministers from Iran, the UK, Germany, and France, focusing on sanctions relief and Iran’s nuclear program. The negotiations are set to begin on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. local time at the Iranian Consulate General in Istanbul.
