Iran Strongly Condemns Israeli Attacks on Beirut’s Dahieh

Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli regime's recent attacks on residential areas in Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut. These attacks have tragically resulted in numerous Lebanese casualties and caused significant damage to Lebanon's infrastructure.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei extended his condolences to the families of the victims and expressed his deep sympathy with the Lebanese people and government in the aftermath of the attacks. He reiterated Iran's solidarity with Lebanon in the face of what he termed as the Zionist regime's aggression, and he wished a swift recovery for those injured in these terrorist attacks.

Baqaei highlighted the ongoing military aggression by the Israeli regime against Lebanon, specifically noting the repeated use of prohibited weapons, such as phosphorus bombs. He attributed the situation to the support and complicity of countries like the United States, Germany, and Britain with Israel, accusing them of violating international law and being complicit in acts of genocide and war crimes in the region.

Furthermore, Baqaei stressed the importance of holding the perpetrators accountable. He called on the UN Security Council and governments worldwide to take responsibility and ensure that those responsible for these crimes are punished.
