Tehran: A spokesperson for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says that Iran will steadfastly maintain its sovereignty and control over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, in a post on his X account on Monday, stated that the United States has seriously jeopardized the security of global oil and gas supplies by intervening in the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that the United States must be held accountable for its actions.
Mohebbi reinforced Iran's stance by declaring that they will maintain sovereignty and control over the strategic waterway with strength and determination. He asserted that Iran would compel foreign powers and their allies to yield to the will of the Iranian nation.
The IRGC spokesperson also remarked on Iran's historical resilience against foreign intervention. He mentioned, 'Just as we undermined the delusional goals of American leaders at the beginning of their aggression concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, in their new acts of mischief, we will push them into even greater disgrace and desperation than ever before.'
