Iran’s Armed Forces Vow to Block US Interference in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: The spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has declared that Iran will never permit the United States to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz, warning Persian Gulf regional states that cooperation with Washington amounts to war against Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari stated on Monday that US actions in the waterway have created serious dangers for the entire region. He emphasized that America's repeated interference has endangered regional security, international trade, and the passage of oil tankers and commercial vessels.

Zolfaqari expressed concern over the cooperation of some regional countries, which he said has increased the risk of war spreading across the area. He issued a direct warning, asserting that Iran will not allow, under any circumstances, US interference in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.

He warned of severe consequences for unauthorized US naval activity, stating that Iran's Armed Forces would respond with force to any disruption or insecurity caused to commercial vessels and oil tankers by the US military operating without authorization.

Zolfaqari also issued a separate warning to regional states, stating that any cooperation with the US or logistical support for its military would be considered an act of war against Iran's sovereignty and national security. He cautioned that should war spread, it would affect all regional countries, placing responsibility for instability on Washington and its partners.
