Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, early Sunday to discuss the latest developments surrounding the Iran-US truce. During their conversation, the two top diplomats discussed 'the latest developments related to the ceasefire and diplomatic efforts to end the war.According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi laid out the developments surrounding the Iran-US ceasefire and the latest status of diplomacy to end the war in the region. It came amid a ceasefire between Tehran and Washington that took effect on April 8, followed by negotiations between Tehran and Washington, which collapsed due to excessive demands put forward by the US.The United States and Israel imposed a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Several top military commanders were also assassinated that day.
