Iran Urges Art as a Medium to Expose US-Israeli Aggressions

Minab:Iran Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani has highlighted the importance of using various artistic platforms to expose what she describes as US-Israeli crimes against Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohajerani made these remarks during the unveiling of a book titled "Khunabeh Minab" (Minab's Bloody Waters) on Sunday, which focuses on the deadly US bombing of a school in southern Iran. She emphasized that cinema, theater, novels, poetry, and painting should be used to reveal the actions taken by the enemy against the country.

Mohajerani stressed that art should be leveraged to tell the stories of the tragedies Iran has faced, particularly during the imposed wars, and praised the nation's resilience against what she referred to as "bloodthirsty" American and Israeli rulers. She honored the sacrifices made by Iranians, noting that over the past 47 years, the country has experienced many martyrs, with over 200,000 in one historical period, underscoring Iran's familiarity with the culture of martyrdom.

She recounted the US attack on the Shajareh Tayyebah School in Minab, describing the tragedy as deeply affecting everyone and personally challenging to articulate. Mohajerani advocated for the role of art in vividly portraying such events to prevent their recurrence.

Expressing gratitude to the author of "Khunabeh Minab," Mohajerani noted the dedication involved, with the author spending nearly forty days in Minab at the martyrs' cemetery to complete the work. She expressed hope that the stories of suffering endured by Iranian children during the US-Israeli-imposed war would be effectively conveyed.
