Tehran: Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva has called on the UN Human Rights Council to address the US-Israeli regime's war crimes against civilians and hold perpetrators accountable. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian mission, in a post on its X account on Monday, emphasized Iran's commitment to amplifying the voices of victims and survivors of acts of aggression by the US and Israeli regime as the 63rd session of the Human Rights Council begins. The mission highlighted the Council's mandate to address human rights and humanitarian violations arising from conflicts, noting that indiscriminate and intentional attacks on civilian infrastructure and targets, such as those in Iran's Minab School and Lamerd Sports Center, constitute clear war crimes. Iran reaffirmed its stance to continue advocating for accountability, justice, and the protection of civilians in light of these actions.
