Islamabad: Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, and Donald Trump, the President of the US, digitally and remotely signed the text of the memorandum of understanding in the early hours of Thursday, June 18, 2026.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, given Pakistan's role as a mediator in the diplomatic process leading to the Islamabad understanding, Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, will also sign the MoU.
