Iran Warns US of Heavier Regional Response if Aggression Continues

Tehran: The spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned the United States that continued acts of aggression in the region will face heavier, broader, and more destructive responses. Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari said early on Wednesday that the US military had carried out airstrikes and attacks on military and civilian locations in southern Iran following repeated failures in its war against the Islamic Republic. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zolfaqari stated that the attacks had resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, describing the US actions as aggressive and terrorist. He added that Iran's Armed Forces, including the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), had responded rapidly and forcefully by launching missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region. These strikes inflicted heavy damage on infrastructure, facilities, weapons, and military equipment, while a considerable number of US commanders and soldiers were killed or wounded. The spokesperson emphasized that offensive operations against US forces would continue until Washington was compelled to reconsider and regret its actions. Zolfaqari further warned that any continuation of US aggression in the region would trigger increasingly heavy, extensive, and destructive responses. He also cautioned countries cooperating with the US military that they would have to bear the dangerous consequences of such cooperation.
