Iranian Ambassador Criticizes Trump’s Threats at Moscow Event

Moscow:Iran's ambassador to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali, addressed the recent threats by US President Donald Trump against Iran, specifically the potential use of the so-called 'mother of all bombs'. Jalali emphasized that such threats would not undermine the resolve of the Iranian nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jalali made these remarks during an event titled 'Religion and Power in Iran' at the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. This event also featured the unveiling of a new edition of the journal 'State, Religion and Church in Russia and Worldwide' and presentations by the Ibn Sina Islamic Studies Foundation.

During the session, attended by Russian Iranologists, researchers, and students, Jalali underscored Iran's resistance against global powers, declaring that Iranian governance is a return to human morality, resisting oppression and maintaining dignity. He highlighted the Iranian nation's visible spirit and resolve since the US-Israeli war of aggression, asserting that threats like Trump's will not break their determination.

Jalali also criticized the anti-Iran policies of the US and its allies, noting their unsuccessful attempts to weaken Iran over the past five decades. He expressed disappointment in global leaders' disregard for moral values, which he argued leads to atrocities like the bombing of the Minab school by American forces.

Further, Jalali attributed the absence of morality to nations legitimizing terrorism and targeting ancient civilizations, referencing Trump's rhetoric. He cited the Israeli bombardment in Gaza as an example of power devoid of moral substance, leading to massive loss of life.

The ambassador also discussed the shared values between Iran and Russia, particularly their commitment to ethics, justice, and peace, which are guided by moral principles.
