Tehran:Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon on his birthday, calling for the further expansion of ties between the two nations during a phone conversation on Monday night.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian extended his best wishes for President Rahmon's long life and expressed hopes for the happiness and prosperity of the Tajik people.

In response, President Rahmon expressed gratitude for the birthday wishes and highlighted the importance of strengthening relations between Tehran and Dushanbe. He noted the satisfaction of both himself and the Tajik people with the ongoing positive developments and deeper connections between the countries.
