Tehran:Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia has emphasized the Armed Forces' readiness to confront any potential aggression. If an enemy attack occurs, the Armed Forces are prepared to deliver a more powerful and decisive response.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Akrami-Nia made these remarks during a live television program commemorating the 46th anniversary of the Sacred Defense, honoring all martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, especially the martyred soldiers.

He highlighted the Iranian Army's significant role in defending the country during the Sacred Defense, having trained and deployed over 2.5 million soldiers, with approximately 40,000 of them martyred. Akrami-Nia attributed the imposed war to Saddam Hussein's miscalculations and erroneous assessments of Iran's situation, drawing parallels with the US president's current stance.

Akrami-Nia criticized the US and its strategic miscalculations, stating that enemies mistakenly believed favorable conditions existed for an attack against Iran due to regional developments involving Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Assad government. He stressed that if the US were truly in a strong position, it would not be trying to alter the regional situation but would instead seek to maintain the status quo.

The Army spokesperson warned that any future aggression would lead to expanded war, increased instability, and greater damage to regional countries. He advocated for the removal of the United States from the region to enhance security and called on regional countries to establish a security order based on their own participation.

Akrami-Nia argued that the United States has historically not prioritized the interests of Muslim peoples in the region, focusing instead on its own security and that of the Israeli regime, indicating that Washington lacks the capacity to ensure the security of regional countries.
