Tehran:Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, deputy chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination, has emphasized that the entire Iranian population is prepared to defend the country, sending a clear message to its adversaries.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Admiral Sayyari made these remarks in response to US President Donald Trump's threats against Iran during his UN General Assembly speech, which included the possibility of bombing and annihilation.

Admiral Sayyari highlighted the nation's readiness, citing a saying from Martyr Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the former Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, that Iran acts as a 'chokehold' on its enemies. He noted that the Iranian people are prepared to surprise aggressors, drawing on past conflicts such as recent US-Israeli wars and continued anti-Iran rhetoric.

He also mentioned the significance of the Sacred Defense Week‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¾¢s 'Soldiers Day,' which honors those who fought during the eight-year war in the 1980s. These soldiers, he remarked, defended the country's territorial integrity with courage and without fear of enemy fire.

Admiral Sayyari praised the Iranian Armed Forces for their role in safeguarding the nation, stating that their steadfastness ensured that no part of Iran's territory was lost, bringing pride to the country.
