St. petersburg: The 30th edition of MIMS Automobility Saint Petersburg 2026, Russia's international exhibition for auto parts, aftermarket products, and automotive services, has commenced in St. Petersburg with the participation of Iranian companies in a unified national pavilion.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali addressed the opening ceremony, which was attended by Russian officials and representatives from participating countries, including China and South Korea. Jalali emphasized that Iran's presence at the exhibition for the fifth consecutive year underscores the two countries' commitment to expanding industrial cooperation.

Jalali highlighted that trade between Iranian auto-parts companies and Russia has surged eightfold over the past five years, reflecting the growing potential of both markets. He further noted that Iran boasts around 1,850 companies active in auto-parts manufacturing and the automotive supply chain, with several knowledge-based and industrial capabilities featured at the event.

The fifth Iranian national pavilion was established with authorization from the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran and in collaboration with the Association of Homogeneous Propulsion and Auto Parts Industries. Seven Iranian parts and supply-chain companies, along with two trading firms, are participating across a 162-square-meter space.

More than 30 Iranian industry executives and business representatives are also engaging in meetings with Russian manufacturers, distributors, and automotive companies. Held for the first time in St. Petersburg, MIMS Automobility 2026 gathers over 1,500 companies and is expected to attract more than 45,000 professional visitors. The exhibition continues through August 28 at Expoforum.
