London:The Iranian Embassy has firmly dismissed claims suggesting Iran's involvement in the arrest of five suspects near RAF Fairford, a base used by the US.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the embassy issued a statement rejecting the speculations as unfounded and malicious. The statement criticized some British individuals and media outlets for attempting to connect Iran with the arrests.

The embassy emphasized that such rumors, especially following aggressive acts by the US and Israel against Iran, only serve to propagate Iranophobia in the UK. Furthermore, Iran stated its intent to pursue legal action to protect its rights and interests against false media narratives.

The arrests involved five men apprehended on suspicion of explosives offenses and preparing a terrorist act after suspicious vehicles were reported near the airbase in Gloucestershire.
