London: Iran's embassy in Britain has issued a sharp retort to recent accusations made by US President Donald Trump against Tehran. The embassy's response involved highlighting a series of American actions, including the atomic bombing of Japan, the Vietnam War, and civilian casualties in regions such as Palestine and Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Trump had previously criticized former US presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, labeling them as disastrous leaders for their role in negotiating the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). In response, the Iranian embassy took to the social media platform X to address Trump's allegations, stating, "The list of the United States' crimes cannot fit into a single tweet," and encouraged followers to contribute additional instances in the comments section.
The Iranian embassy's post went further to enumerate other historical US actions, citing the massacres of Native Americans, the bombings of Iraq and Afghanistan, and alleged kidnappings in Venezuela, as part of its broader critique of American foreign policy.
