Tehran: Anahita Zarei, a teenage Iranian weightlifter, has won first place in the 77kg category at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships. Zarei earned a bronze medal in snatch, a gold medal in clean and jerk, and a gold medal in total. She also secured a silver medal in the junior clean and jerk category.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Nasim Ghasemi, another Iranian representative in the youth 77kg category, also achieved success. She won a gold medal in snatch and two silver medals in clean and jerk and total.
