Tehran: The spokesperson for the IRGC's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has strongly refuted US assertions concerning the free navigation of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The spokesperson declared that no vessel can safely pass through the strait without Iran's explicit authorization and oversight.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari emphasized in a statement on August 13 that Iran maintains complete control and management over the Strait of Hormuz. He asserted that neither commercial nor tanker vessels can transit the strait without the authorization and supervision of Iran's armed forces.
