New York:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that reopening the Strait of Hormuz requires meeting specific conditions set by Iran's Supreme National Security Council. He underscored that while Iran remains open to negotiations, it is committed to maintaining its rights. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the 81st UN General Assembly in New York, Araghchi highlighted Iran's active diplomatic engagement. President Masoud Pezeshkian returned to Tehran after engaging in multiple meetings and delivering a significant address. The foreign minister stated that Iran's conditions for reopening the strait were communicated during meetings with international officials and mediators who relayed them to the United States. Iran has yet to receive a formal response to its diplomatic proposals and is awaiting a clear stance from the US. Araghchi pointed out that Iran has shown its strength across military, diplomatic, and economic sectors, advocating for a negotiated solution founded on digni ty, justice, and legitimate rights as the path forward.
