Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has emphasized the unwavering determination of the Iranian nation to safeguard its independence, dignity, and right to self-determination.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei made these remarks in a post on his X account on Tuesday, November 4th, a day marked as ‘Student Day’ on Iran’s national calendar. In his post, he highlighted historical events that have shaped Iran’s resistance against foreign intervention and authoritarianism.
Baqaei referenced the exile of Imam Khomeini in 1964, which followed protests against capitulatory agreements, and the martyrdom of students in 1978, who were protesting against the authoritarian regime. He also mentioned the events of November 4, 1979, which collectively symbolize the nation’s longstanding protest against foreign interference.
