Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has highlighted the unity and reverence displayed by the Iranian nation as they mourn their martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. During the historic funeral ceremonies, Ghalibaf remarked on the profound display of love and solidarity for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf expressed his thoughts through a message on his X account on Sunday. He noted the powerful chant of 'Ya Latharat al-Hussein (O Avengers of Hussein)' by the mourners, signifying a unified cry for their beloved Leader. The funeral prayers, held at Tehran's Mosalla, were attended by a vast number of Iranians who bore witness to the legacy of the Leader and his family members.
Ghalibaf further reflected on the deep emotion and respect from the mourners, emphasizing that the cries came from the depths of their souls, acknowledging the goodness of the late Ayatollah Khamenei. The Iranian nation, described as proud and invincible, showcased a collective tribute during this somber occasion.
Millions of Iranians have traveled to the capital to pay their respects. Ayatollah Khamenei, who was martyred alongside several family members in terrorist attacks attributed to American and Zionist regimes, will be laid to rest in the holy city of Mashhad. The funeral ceremonies will also take place in Qom, as well as the Iraqi holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, marking the profound impact and reach of his leadership and martyrdom.
